The Bristol Habourside Sponsors Group approached Potential Difference to tender for the development of an online solution to promote the harbourside regeneration programme. The programme itself has been a monster undertaking that is now culminating after 15 years of blood sweat and tears from landowners, developers, investors and the local community as a whole. Taking on the website that was to shout about fruits of all this labour was a task we gave its due credit and importance!
The pace of development within the harbourside demanded a strategic approach to the communication of ideas and news, to support local businesses, to promote it’s history and help to develop a combined identity for one of Europe's premier city waterfronts. Our solution had to provide a unique online showcase of the city past, present and future.
PD created a web solution that combined all the organisations and individuals both past and present that had lived and worked and played in the harbourside into a single body. The result was a dynamic site. Driven by a flash timeline navigation, the site allows web users to access a series of harbourside interactive location maps, hotspots, business profiles and events profiles. It is a dynamic site that reflects the innovation, creativity, talent and enthusiasm of the area – including us at PD!
